Julia is All Hands Ecology’s Chief Operating Officer. She has served more than three decades in nonprofit leadership, environmental education, land stewardship, advocacy, and organizational management, and has led All Hands operations since 2018. Her work spans people and culture, organizational systems, compliance, facilities, technology, contracts, insurance, and risk. She values efficiency, sound judgment, clean systems, a humane workplace, and creating solutions that address underlying problems rather than their symptoms.

Julia has spent her life in and around the natural world and takes her guidance from there: pay attention, expect and adapt to change, and remember that resilience takes many forms. Away from work, Julia swims, watches birds, wanders wild places, tends plants, soaks beans, reads, writes, and conducts important research from her hammock.
