Come out to the Bouverie Preserve in the Sonoma Valley, where we invite you to an open recreational day!

Join us for the rare opportunity to explore the 535-acre preserve of mixed evergreen forest, riparian woodland, and chaparral. The preserve is home to a rich combination of plants and animals, including 130 species of birds, 350 species of flowering plants, and numerous large mammals such as bobcat, gray fox, coyote, mountain lion, and even an occasional black bear.

Our staff will be on-site, providing you with maps, pro-tips, and the best trail routes to get the most out of visiting the preserve. We are also happy to share about who we are and why it’s important to us that you visit these incredible landscapes. We firmly believe in connecting people, nature, and science for a more resilient world, and we can’t do it without you!

Explore the different trails and ecosytems of the preserve or enjoy a nice picnic, this day’s adventure is all up to you!

Registration required. Drop in to the preserve between 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Gate will close at 3:30 p.m.
